Remote controller Power Button issues on Onkyo HTS-3300

Hi
I am facing some issues with the power button on my onkyo hts-3300.
Sometimes i am not able to switch it off using the remote control power button.
It just doesn't respond
The power button on the AVR itself is fine.
All the other functions work great with the remote.

Anybody seen this before?

The HT-S3300 remote is a multi device remote, meaning you can use it to control other Onkyo devices as well (Onkyo Blu-ray Disc/DVD player, CD player, and
other components.)

Hence to use it with the receiver you will have to first press "RECEIVER" on the remote and then use any other button. This will put the remote in Receiver mode and let you control the receiver.
