rxv667 or nr609

i'm confused between yamaha rxv667 and onkyo txnr609.which one would our experts suggest and why?is it worth to gofor onkyo txnr709 which has audyssey multieq as an added feature?does this make much difference for ordinary people?inviting comments from all

Have not heard NR 609, but V667 was better than 608 in music anyday.Even better than DENON 1911, probably because of a better DAC (Burr Brown).

Onkyo 608 also has BB DAc,but amp design makes difference.

well i love rx-v667 and u can buy it at cheap rates now since new series rx-..71 will be available in may in US. but i think no comparison of 667 with nr 609. it should be between rx-v671 and nr 609. rx-v667 does not have front USB and LAN support where as rx-v671 and nr-609 have it. If you are bothered about usb and network then i would vote for rx-v667 for its better features and sound signature.

do you already have speakers? , if not select the speakers first and pair them with all the AVR models that are available in your area. You will know which AVR to buy.

thankyou for the reply.presently i have a htib philips hts5550 5.1 with all speakers 4 ohm and centre speaker 3 ohm.my tv is samsung 3dled 7000 series.i'm not an electronic literate(practising neonatologist in kerala).if my avr doesn't suit well i'll buy new speakers for them.philips have only quoted 1200 watt rms power and don't say anything about individual wattage of speakers.
