if you are buying electrical wire, then get 2 core wire, which will keep wires shielded and makes routing easy.

It is only an outer PVC sheath, not shielded.

The position of my speakers would mean that I'll need about 50 ft for each speaker of speaker wire. Is Amazon Basics copper speaker wire a good choice? Would be grateful for some inputs or any other decent ( not too expensive ) recommendations.

I am using it for quite some time and feel they provide excellent VFM. Ideally, you should put 5/10% of your total AV budget for cables and accessories.

Since you're on a budget the Amazon basics cable will definitely do the job and do it fairly well.

Distance more than 100 ft than 12 AWG be considered otherwise 14 AWG is great
