Showcase your audio/video setup here!......

Well compared to a lot of set up showcased here mine is not worth mentioning. The best i could do was set up a HT on my master bedroom as there is no luxury of a dedicated room.Denon 2400 paired with Dali Zensor3,Zensor1,Zensor Vokal and Bic PL200-ii. 3d blu ray player Sony BDP-4500 and tv is Sony KDL-43W950C. On ceiling using small yamaha satellite speakers that came along with yht 299 for testing atmos. Will be upgrading to some good speakers soon.View attachment 32688View attachment 32689
This is heavy stuff give the room size WoW!!

After setting up home theater two years back, was waiting for living room TV to go kaput so that I can upgrade. My usage of TV is mainly for snack time casual watch, does not have traditional d2h, so it was used with google chromecast only. And after 10 years my 32inch Samsung LCD gave up last month. Updated with a humble non-smart Samsung 43inch (UA43N5002AK) with JBL 3.1 Bar and Amazon fire tv stick. Special mention to JBL 3.1 bar - handles PCM and vanilla Dolby passthrough from player and make use of center channel and subwoofer for clear voice and deep bass (has 10 inch driver in a MDF enclosure). Has 3 HDMI in 1 HDMI out with 3D and 4k passthrough. Optical in and 3.5 Aux in. And of course bluetooth (using Echo Dot to connect to this to play music).

Now I have to get rid of those wires and casing with some wooden design in back, looking for ideas.

Off topic, but could not help noticing the two volumes of Shirshendu Mukhyopadhyay's children's fiction on the top shelf and the Shonkusamagra on the second :) Big fan here too.

My Home Theater setup which was my dream for many years.

Brief History
  • Bought an Intex 4.1 multimedia speaker for my desktop in 2001
  • Got a sony home theatre 5.1 DVD system in 2010
  • In 2015, purchased a Yamaha Amp and POLK TL1600 combo
  • Upgraded my Fronts and Center to Polk Signature series in 2019
Happy with the current setup since it sounds awesome with movies and music :DView attachment 34239View attachment 34240
Looks great. What is the size of the wooden cabinet width & height. I am also looking to get one made. I liked this design.

Thanks :).

Width is around 8 feet and height is around 6.5 feet.
We designed it with a lot of L shapes and contrasted with light and dark brown mica shades.

I have a wall panelling of 4 inches at the back for cable management.

My Vintage build.

Man oh man. I would give up my high end stereo for one of these any day (Even if it is a trade off in sound quality). Hope you have this paired with a similar era loud speaker.

Those subtle lights, tiny buttons that did something or nothing, all adds to the charm owning one of these.

I owned a Technics SU-800, RS-TR165, SH-8038 paired to a SB-G750 not too long ago. Not to be compared to your gear but reasonably good Hi Fi. Gave it up for the high end world. I sold it for double the price I bought it! You don't hear of this with anything you try and sell today.

Where did you manage to source these components from? We never got Mini Disc in India

So glad to know that people still appreciate Vintage equipment. Have loads of Vintage equipment. Have imported all of them as the ones you find here aren’t well maintained.
If you’re based in Bangalore do drop by. Will pm my number if you’re interested. Cheers!!!
