Hi All,

Have been thinking abt the option of Sonodyne SM 100AK studio Monitor range Active Speakers which retails for approx 65K to pair with a Pre - Amplifier...

This speaker looks like have got extremely good reviews..So leaning towards that... This setup is for my brother who wants to replace NAD C326 + Mission M35i speakers...

I understand the benefit of Active bi-amping Vs passive Bi-amping, so ready to take the plunge & explore it...

What pre-amplifier should i consider ? Need your suggestions/ recommendations..

Usage would be stereo listening (Both CD's & FLAC on WD TV), DTH content & Movies... simply put both 2.0/2.1/5.1 (As he owns Subwoofer too)

FYI am considering only a pair of speakers for L & R first....Remaining 3.1 can be passive (Driven by AVR)...

Should i consider a HDMI/ Non HDMI AVR which has pre-outs?

Sonodyne is coming up with new active monitors mainly for Home use.
It may get launched in mid of june. Try that too.
Also they have launched new studio monitor looks like genelec. They are equally good.
