Just got a mail from Sony USA

Here is the spanner in the works for all the people who say "NO 4K CONTENT"

Sony 4K Ultra HD Media Player – FMP-X10 Review - Sony US

Comes pre loaded with 50 4K movies.....

Now the mad rush for 4K TV starts ............

Hopefully ordinary folks like me can buy FHD TVs cheaper .

You forgot to mention the most important piece of information the price, which is over 500$. Don't know how many folks would go for the same. Also if there are not many sales then prices will drop fast.

I did not mention pricing as it is too obvious!

One more caveat is that the media player will work only with "SONY 4K TVS" and not 4K TVs of other brands!!!

Well, if they think people will buy their TVs to use their media player, then I guess they should know the opposite can be true as well.

All in All, poor strategy by Sony, as they are trying to promote only their 4k Tv's with this. Also too expensive for the common man. Maybe after a few year's pricing will come down and it would be affordable. Blu ray came long back, but still not many people locally are watching or buying disks due to cost factor.
