Sony BDP S-4200 or PS3

Hello,

I've been looking out for an upgrade to my Sony DVD player and zeroed in on the S4200. 3D is a must have, and at under 12k, this fit the bill.

However, a thought crossed that for just 4k more I could lay my hands on the PS3.

Is there anything that the BDP has that the PS3 does not? Also, any other BDP options with similar features at the same price point I should consider?

Appreciate inputs from anyone who's already done the research.
