Speakers for LG Smart TV & LG Blu-ray Player

Hey Guys,

I am looking for some decent speaker solution for my LG 47 Smart TV & LG Blu-ray player. I am looking for some cheap option strictly under 10 K as already running over budget with my TV.

Primary use for speakers is while watching movies via HDD & blu-ray, so it can give clear speech audio & background depth while playing movies which is missing via the TV speakers. Also it should be able to play mp3 music independently via bu-ray player while the TV is shut off.

Hi,

Since you are located in Mumbai. You should go to Lamington Road and check out available speaker options.

Soundbars are good for TVs / Movies. If you want to use the same for music purpose then you may want to purchase 2.1 system.

Brands like Philips, JBL, Creative, Logitech, Edifier etc are available with the budget, there are 2.1 and 5.1 speakers available. The key is to demo as many models and see what appeals to you in performance, looks and ofcourse budget...

My opinion -I "ve not heard the demo of this ,but however based on my experince specifications of this ..
>For using sound bars u require good room without much openings(doors ,windows etc.s) ,coz the 5.1 sound wil be recreated by reflections from walls ..so u need to consider this aspect.
>In this u will not get options of dolby ,DTS decoders and more over after hearing this for some times u will get bored ..
>Hence if u patience to have added budget ..u can go for Yamaha YHT 196 home theater sytem (Approx Rs.23~26 k)which is having good reviews..
So it is wise to invest in good systems to have good audio effects..

the Yamaha YHT 196 does looks like in interesting option. I have an old Sony DVD HT installed in my living room with concealed wiring done for the speakers in all 4 corners + center, the same was done 5 years back, do u think the same speaker posts & wiring can be used for Yamaha speakers, because i do not want to do any external wiring for the same.
