speakers to go with vsx-523k and impact10 sub

I have :
pioneer vsx523k
velodyne impact 10 sub
boston acoustics soundware xs 5.1

I am thinking of selling the xs 5.1 and get some bookshelf speakers which have good mid. I am thinking of mercury v1i + vci + vri or wharfedale 220s. Any suggestions?
