A Friend of mine recently gave me a copy of SRS HAL software (SRS Labs) which I installed on my notebook.However,it just seems to muddy the sound with absolutely no positives out of the experience!My low end audio setup is notebook ALAC files - usb out - nuforce udac - AE5 + AS8(thanks to hifiviison).
Is there a place for such software in the audiophile world ? Why are there such glowing reviews for such software ( google search) ?
