No need to apologise - I understand it was not your intent , since I am aquatinted with you from your HFV posts.

But in those instances when we are anonymous strangers , as is 99% of our communication online , even the dialogues with the best of intent tend to be taken with an ‘injury’ tone.

This is enough to cover our entire thinking ability. AI needs an incredible amount of energy to recognise a picture of a penguin from 10 million images. To solve the problem, it requires entire data centres that need to be kept cool. If we wanted to use AI to reproduce everything the human brain is capable of, we would need a vast number of nuclear power plants to provide the necessary energy, assuming it would even be possible that is.

So thinking and doing less would consume less watts…but our increasing reliance on algorithms, predictive analysis and storage of user data to sell more and more may not be very good?

interesting. Though there is a big gap between concept and viability. For instance, Algal biofuel even has old enough commercial investments in India.

Get class D amps and downloading music/movies option is also already available on all streaming apps/services. Would require jumbo storage on all devices etc though. Can reduce continuous load.

But streaming is so convenient and now even very good quality recently.

Yes. They exist in large numbers in Europe. Example: My team members avoid many vacation destinations because they have to fly. They try to use trains as much as possible. Trains are 96/97 % carbon neutral.

We can’t expect this kind of mindset in a third world country. This is due to living conditions and exposure.

I think there are concerned people in every city in India too who are making informed choices when it comes to ecologically sustainable lifestyles. They may not yet be large in numbers or very vocal in public yet but this is a growing trend.

But you are right, the poorest people everywhere don’t have the luxury of making such choices; they are preoccupied survival, getting their basic needs and desperately seeking ways and leadership that will give them a better future.
