tata sky scam in "multi tv fees"

i have 1 SD pvr & 1 HD pvr & despite that they are charging me an extra 40rs pm as "HD multi tv fees" just because of some bureaucratic nonsense where my HD pvr has been designated by them as my secondary connection & my SD box as primary connection. so it doesnt matter that i have only a single HD connection i'll still be charged for 2 just because of some paperwork where that is my secondary/multi tv connection !

i called customer care to get it changed (had to follow up with them coz they said someone would call to confirm & they didnt the first time & i thought it was done but was then shocked to see the charges in next month's bill) but they said that all my recordings on both the stb's would be inaccessible . my hd stb is 90% full & either i now just let the recordings go or pay rs 40pm extra for nothing.

even governments dont have such stupid rules. they should be in politics & teach other scamsters a thing or two.

I think you can contact to Nodal office. Tatasky is very much customer oriented and should short out your problem.

@krish199 i think their service is more mouth service than actual. plus every few weeks they raise some price or the other. even faster than petrol prices go up.

@rahuljonline even i'm considering the same but i'm not sure abt videocon's PQ. plus everyone says TS has best CS. so i wonder after spending so much to change & all the TS stb's going to waste if we get stuck in a similar boat whether it'll be worth it

By swaping the primary and secondary you will loose data on the system.

Disabled my HD connection completely, since didnt like TS new HD policy of having mandatory SD channel to have the same HD channel alongwith the increase in HD access fee.

I am on annual multiroom and was told that they can switch primary (SD) and secondary (HD+) at the time of renewal because there is no change in fee structure for me till renewal, and if they switch now, i will have to follow new fee structure (i.e. + hd access fee).

just make sure you dont have any important recordings as they will be inaccesible after switching. i still dont understand why. shouldnt it be a simple case of interchanging the designations of primary/scondary but that seems to be the way they have designed their software which is ridiculous
