*OT Alert* - not related (or in fact, might be!), but a part of the picture above reminds me of the concept of different chi/qi (or 'praan' of 'praanaayaam') meridians/junctions in the body, being active at different times of a day in different seasons (as per indian-chinese/oriental martial arts & medicine).
