This week haul.
Alien - One of my all time favorite, The art direction, visual effect, screenplay, sound and direction all top notch, hard to recreate it, it has a lasting impact on this genre, excellent 4K transfer
Aliens - James Cameroon wrote an excellent screenplay, Ripley was superb, visual effect, story telling, use of technology, direction all again excellent, this was the last film of this franchaise which made a difference, after this one all fell apart misreably. Brilliant 4K transfer, worth every penny.
Mississippi Burning - In my view it was Alan Parker's best, a film immotalized by Gene Hackman and Willem Dafoe's superlative performances. One of the best that ever came in as perod drame - racial discrimination. 4K transfer was excellent. I always liked pressings from Germany.
A bridge too Far - Attenborough's one of the most expensive and expansive film which did not fetch a single oscar nomination. It is certainly not the best in the WWII genre, but a blissful watch. 4K transfer was good, expected better given its price tag.
Congo and Kong: Skull Island - Fun filled films, poor special effects, probably owing to lack of available technology at that time. Kids enjoy them, Me too. 4K transfer was excellent for the later, former not sure.
