I have a Paradigm Monitor 9 speaker set and recently moved my house to a dedicated room for music/HT.

I started noticing a booming sound at certain bass frequencies esp. in watching movies with large bass scenes (like u-571).

I initially thought the problem was with the room or some correction I need to do. However, on closer observations, I noticed its coming in from one of the drivers in the right side floorstander.

On removing the grille, I dont see any visible damage or on touch dont see a break.

I did a frequency sweep but didnt see an issue, but see it heavier tracks like even DSOTM.

I have contacted Audio-one through email (didnt get their phone) but no response.

Any suggestions, please give urgently.

see if you feel voice coil rubbing. you tube has videos explaining this. if yes then you need to change the drive unit which the distributor can help you with or contact paradigm asking for availability of the same. your models is old one so locating that might be issue
