Experts,

What would you recommend / vote?
I have recently bought Pioneer AJ series 5.0. Hunting for SUB.

Has any body auditioned or used both of these subs?

Apart from experience technology / build quality wise what do you think which one is better?

Hi

Velodyne has its reputation for being in the subwoofer industry for over 30 years while BIC America seems to be ruling the audio market and providing the punchy bass.

There are online comparison reviews available for you to decide...see a couple of videos over YouTube to get some idea....

Compare the porting of the subwoofer, if down firing or front firing....check what class amp is used and whats the output in terms of power and frequencies covered....it would be a good idea to get a sub which can blend in well with your existing speakers....you don't want to have a muffled jarring bassy experience when things are supposed to sound as natural as possible.

Specs wise BIC F12 is clear winner, any other point which should be considered about velodyne, else in $184 (21K INR) , BIC is a great sub over velodyne (32K INR)

Please audition the both models and decide. Personally I vote for Velodyne.
But Impact series is an entry level one. You can also consider Boston Acoustics A650 subwoofer, a good VFM product.
