I have recently bought 32LG80FR LCD TV. I am trying to play avi files through USB. However while playing, LCD TV supports few AVI files and for others its just shows "Loading" and then suddenly return to main index page. It doesnt support all avi files. Kindly guide me to make remaining files workable on LCD. Please understand that I do not have any DVD & CD player to attach to LCD.

Thanking you in the anticipation.

Hi,

I am also using the same LCD and can play avi and divx files. However in few cases there was no audio and it was suporting only video.

Also it doesnot support HD files even ofo avi and divx format.

The supported file extensions and the supported audio/video codecs are listed in your respective manual. The TV will list all file with supported extensions. Playback of audio/video happens only if the codecs are supported. Also as Aseem mentioned, there will be a cap on the maximum resolution, FPS, audio bit rate etc.

Refer the "To use a USB device" section in your manual. If the detail is missing in the printed manual refer the PDF in the CD you got with the TV.

Appreciate your reply Aseem and Dotmac.
I have searched suggested information in CD found that Resolution: under 720x480 (720x576) WxH pixels & Frame rate: under 30 frames/sec.
I am using Ultra AVI Converter and tried with above settings. Thanks God; finally I could view the video on my LCD and have no regret for selecting this model.
I found the picture size increasing by decreasing WxH. Am i right?
What would happen if I decrease frame rate? Please explain bcos I couldnt figure out any difference when I tried it.

According to my experience, iDealshare VideoGo is the best one to convert TVS to other video formats like convert TVS to AVI, MP4, WMV, MOV, MPG.

This article describe a detailed guide on how to get it and use it at Best TVS to MP4, AVI Converter and Player for Mac and Windows
Hi, Rather than starting a new topic I thought I would tail gate this one.
I have just bought a Hisense 43A7NQ. It has one major problem in that it wont play avi files from my USB. Massage comes up "file not supported. I have cleared the cache, cookies and unplugged the tv but still it wont play avi. I have an enormous number of avi files on the USB and I cant find duplicate files that are not avi. I had no idea that so many films and tv series use avi. I would be so grateful for opinions on how to remedy this problem please. TIA
