VR2 in Play station - is it better than Occulus?

My twin boys are asking me for a VR2 and ps5 although there is a ps4 with VR that they use only when their classmate comes once in a while.

I was thinking it is a redundant buy and that an Occulus VR Headset might be better. Any experience with these, kindly share. Tia.

I have a Occulus Rift S and a Quest 2. The Quest 2 is standalone but can be connected to a PC vide airlink or PC Cable. Performance is satisfactory. I don't think there are a lot of games that can be played both by the PSVR and Quest 2.
