Worthy competitors to Arcam rDAC? (less than 300 pounds price)

Hi guys, I zeroes in on this rDAC although I have never auditioned it myself. My brother who happens to be in UK will buy it for me.

I intend to use it with PC thru USB mostly.

I'm gonna ask him to audition this in a store in UK along with any others that you guys recommend? Are there any worthy competitors to this (SHOULD be under 300 pounds range). Any inputs appreciated.

Hi:

DacMagic, Caiman, Firestone Spitfire (no USB) are all under 300, and great DAC's. If you can wait, there is Rega DAC (500) coming soon, that should be too good!

But, money on rDAC, is worth the investment!
