Xiaomi to launch Mi TV Q1 75" on 23rd March - QLED, 192 Zones, 120Hz

700mb sized 720p movie. Looked much better than my Sony 1080p Tv which has X-Reality Pro. So definitely upscaling is great on it.
Congratulations on your new TV and it is gladdening to see you really enjoying it as well.

It looks like MI have really upped there game with this TV. MI with this TV in India is doing what Hisense 9 series n TCL 6 series have been doing in United States. Quite commendable.

This MI TV actually has a TCL panel and I read on Rtings that the best upscaling in the market and the worst one differ only by 12 percent.

Has anyone wall mounted this TV? Can this be done without any fuss and what type of wall mount to be used.

Can you please share a few pictures?

I am interested in seeing the pictures as well if anyone can share. Wondering what kind of screws/bolts they use to fix, as mine will go on a wall with stone cladding. I am expecting delivery of the TV today.

Nice to see Eloy. Horizon Forbidden west would definitely look awesome on that. Have you tried any games at 120Hz yet? And how's the motion handling on games?
Haven't done 120hz honestly. I am only interested in 4k 60 HDR10 ray tracing.
Seems like PS5 can't even do that for now ( only 30).
Motion handling on games is perfect, much better than 24p movies which definitely stutters due to fast response times. So far my complaints with the tv remains UI glitches and now I have talked directly to the head of Xaiomi India TV department, they said new build is ready and is awaiting certifications.

As per reports by certain reviewers, the mitv cant do 4k at 120hz, whether hdr or not.

They do mention the same in their disclaimer under the product page , it's just bad marketing.

Agreed it's clearly deceptive but they can't be questioned as they mention the same in disclaimer and even in their FAQ.
I know you're with me but Whether they can be taken to task in a court of law is another thing. A buyer who is parting with their hard earned money is supposed to exercise reasonable diligence.

But ask yourself (and as exemplified by another thread that i shall not name but feel free to browse around), how many people do? You may be prudent and/or may know what are the specs that need to be taken into consideration or for that matter, the questions that are required to be asked but not everybody is well aware of the relevant considerations. Very few people are.

If only i had a nickel for every time somebody came while making their purchasing decisions for lack of knowing any better. And that's not just them. After joining this forum, i suppose im much more aware about specs that are required to be taken into consideration. But then again, most people aren't a part of this forum.

Considering a company that is as big as Xiaomi is, it's clearly taking customers for a ride/intentionally indulging in deceptive specs. Does the fact that many other relief companies also aren't forthcoming with their facts gives Xiaomi a concession? I think not.

If one wants more power to the customers, one should not condone such tactics. I am from the service industry and there are many ways i can make a killing without the customer knowing any better depending on the disclosures that i make. And to my mind, this is a disclosure that was required to be made in bold and simply speaks volumes about the bonafides of the company (or whoever the marketing genius responsible for this was as are many other specs in the AV industry including that of THD).

But mostly, consider this - rather than it being a part of the "disclaimer", should it not have been disclosed in the "Specifications" itself?

Hmmm, the PS5 does 4K 60 for a bunch of PS4 gen games - especially end of gen games like TLOU2, GoT.
There's a high chance Horizon is getting a 60fps patch too, just like TLOU2 did.
