When I browsed some electronics websites Sony, Samsung, Onkyo, Yamaha etc., One doubt I have come across is when I looked on Samsung home theater, It shows it can support Blu ray disc but I am not able to find this specification on Yamaha nor Onkyo.

So Yamaha and onkyo doesn't include a player for DVD or Blu ray in their HTiB?

But in the image of the model it shows Blu Ray for all the models.

The model I saw is YHT 298, 296, 196.

Sorry if this seems to be a very silly question

Please help me out in this..

Thanks

The Yamaha and Onkyo don't include the Blu-Ray Player with their HTiB.

Its only contain the AV Receiver with the 5.1 speaker system. In the specifications it will only show that they support the HD formats like the Blu-Ray, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital TrueHD etc.

You have buy the blu-ray players separately.

Infact it is always best to get HTiB without built-in player. You can select a player of choice. If the built-in player dies you are left with a brick and you can do nothing but throw it away unless it has some kind of digital inputs.
