Right decision as you were about to use same source!

The missions were tested with samsung dvd p as the source and
a audiohall(?) stereo amp

Audiohall ..never heard ,anyone can shed any light?

Could be audiolabs. dont know exactly. I know it started as audio but

Today I was monitoring one auction on eBay India for MV-8E towers and surprisingly the auction closed for Rs.10,199 (+1499) shipping) with just 2 bids. So its probably worth Rs.10,199 or less.

But what is this MV-8E now?

The Missions that I won on ebay arrived yesterday. The carton read MV-8E cinema pack.
I think the MV8 towers that are bundled with the cinema pack
are called MV-8E. The seller must have sold them separately. Essentially
the MV-8E are same as the MV8.

So I connected the towers to my Harmon Kardon AVR 330 and played a song.
They sounded thin. Incidentally I took a dell a425 2.1 computer speaker from
my office and played the same song on them as well. The dell a 425 played
much better inspite of costing may be 1/10th of the towers. Anyways after
playing for about 4 hours, I can see the MV8 is opening up. Yes the burning
does make a lot of difference.

However now I have a different problem, if I crank the volume up on my
AVR, the AVR goes into protection mode. Looks like either the speaker
wires are shorting or the speakers are demanding more power. I will check
the speaker wires later today meanwhile anyone else have any other
suggestion.

I checked the speaker wires/terminal and everything is OK. There should
be no shorting. Even now if I pump up the volume, the AMP goes into
protection mode (especially when I put the AMP in stereo mode to
drive the front towers only).

Any suggestions/help?

All i meant was this is the only thread that i see active in this forum which is exclusively for promotion of a product ( "for sale ") and thats why my question..

As for providing deals... well.... the market is large and so is the "For sale " by owner / dealer section.. maybe this thread really does belong there after all..

Blaming.. well..dont put words in my mouth when no blame was attached to anybody by my post.. all i said was this post belongs in a different category .. thats all..

Yogeshji - if you are helping out a friend.. maybe the friend can come out openly and advertise / sell on this forum....

maybe the moderator needs to look at this post and shift it to the appropriate category. Correct me if i am wrong.
