Got my Yamaha RX-V667 from US. The primary use of this amp would be to do HDMI switching between multiple sources and signal processing to feed my external multichannel amp set up and a HD projector.
Quite a neat amp with great specs and functionality. The HDMI processing and switching quality is very good. Ease of use is typical Yamaha and looks good as well.
My only disappointment is around the falling standards of build quality over the years of these vendors. There is tremendous cost cutting, increased usage of plastic and optimising various things. Every successive model has more cost cuts. This Yamaha does not come even with a user manual (except quick-start guide) and instead you get a CD which has the manual.
Unless there is a great deal of change in technology, one is well advised to keep away from upgrading from a previous model to the next one.
Cheers.
