Hello Experts,

I am planning to buy a 3D ready 5.1 AV receiver. After going through the various sites/forums, I've arrived at the following 4 receivers:

Pioneer VSX-520-K
Denon AVR 1311/1611
Yamaha RX-V467
Onkyo SR 308

I would like to hear your inputs on them. (Initially I considered 7.1/2 receivers, but due to space/budget constraints I thought a good 5.1 is better)

Thx

Hi Rajeeb,

One of our forum members is selling his Onkyo-TxSR577 for 22k. IMHO, it make a great buy.

Otherwise, all models you have shortlisted are worth considering. My personal choice would be the Onkyo (I own the 608; very happy with the usability), followed by the Pioneer.

As I said, your shortlist looks good :)

Good luck,
Pannags

Mate, I saw the Pioneer 520 yesterday here in Mumbai for Rs. 15.5K. Looking closer it did sport the 3D sticker on the front face of the panel.

How would you rate, describe this model...

Hi Rajeeb,

Can u please let me know the prices of all these;
Pioneer VSX-520-K
Denon AVR 1311/1611
Yamaha RX-V467
Onkyo SR 308

Music Ranch quoted 26K for Yamaha RX-V467.

Also there was Yamaha RX-V665 available for 35K

Marantz SR3053 was quoted at 22K

Also got these rates from another shop near to Music Ranch (Sorry forgot the name)

Denon 1611 - 26K
Denon 1911 - 38K

I guess the pricing is on the higher side but I didn't bargain much anyways. What are the best rates for the above AVR's these days?

well yamaha rx-v 467 is really good bought it tow days earlier worth buying got it for 27000 but worth the price video upscaling is remarkble

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
