Ther is a Tannoy XT6F speaker available for sale in my vicinity for 54k. Is it worth purchasing as a secondary speakers . Current setup is NR1200 with RelT5X and QA3050 in a squarish 12x13 room. Really considering the tannoys. What should be a fair price. I hate to lowball a fellow audiophile1000450520.jpg

Tannoys are great speakers . I still have XT8F , Do a demo to make sure that the speaker can play all the frequencies , especially treble . At this price it seems like a 50% discount from its original MRP . Not a bad deal

I have a pair. Great speakers.

Tannoy created the Revolution XT/XTF series to bring their dual-concentric (point-source) design into a more modern, affordable, and living-room-friendly format. The goal was to keep that signature coherence and imaging, but with slimmer cabinets and a cleaner, more contemporary sound than their older “vintage” voicing. After Music Tribe streamlined the lineup, the XT range was phased out as Tannoy refocused on clearer product directions based on their priorities. These were really nice speakers at their price points. For all you know, it may even beat that Q Acoustics 3050 you already have.

I got XT8F in 2016 and was in use till 2023 paired with Marantz PM11S2 . I have other speakers but nothing beats XT8F in soundstage . I have not sold it , because somewhere I knew that these new speakers at the price point they are available will not be able to match XT8F and maybe I will have to spend upwards of 7 to 8 lacs to get that SQ .

I will be very surprised if these do not end up replacing your QA3050 in the main setup in the near future.
Once you love Tannoys, it can be difficult to love something else with the same fondness, ask people who own Tannoy Turnberry and the likes. :)

If it was me, I would buy it pronto. And if you wish to buy it and sell it to me, I will accept that, lol.

Went and brought it today. Looks like I have to upgrade

It is simply couple of notches above QA3050 and kefq350. Picked it up today for 50k in impeccable condition. Now gotta sell the qa3050.
