Hi vin_eme. Another FM pointed towards your thread for sub recommendation but I see you recommended the sub for a 16x12 room. Mine is quite bigger than that at 25x16'. Will Antonia be a good option here? Or should I look at something else? Thanks

Singhal, what is your budget? You can go for 12 inch velodyne or wharfadale or 2 10/12 inch subs. your choice.

Budget is about 25k. And even a single sub is getting me frowned looks from the wife. Pretty sure I'll be sleeping on the couch indefinitely if she finds out I even thought of adding another one of those huge "ugly" boxes in the room!

Could it be that the spec on the current model is more realistic? I for one just cant get my head around a 12.5k sub doing 20-150Hz +/-1dB.

gazal, its actually 35 hz - 120 hz +/- 3 db. this can be believed if PS 200 has given this performance.

What I tried to say was that 35 - 120 hz +/- 3 db quoted for the df-10 seems more realistic than 20-150Hz +/-1dB quoted for the PS-2000. Especially since df-10 is touted as an improvement on PS-2000, at a higher price that too.

Oh. Ya thats true.. I get your point. I am just holding off to make payment for this one. My hands are itching to get a new SUB but cant decide if this piece is worth the investment.

I think it should be.. but not sure how to convince myself to buy this without a demo.

Is anyone here own PA micropro 2000? What is the impression for music/movies. Will it fill up a room for 12* 20 ft with tight/punchy bass.

I am also looking for a good sub in 30k range. Is it a good idea to go for 2 PA micropro 2000 (which is 8 inch/1200RMS) instead of single impact-12(12-inch 200RMS).

Congrats! How much did u pay ? There is a method to control the volume dynamically, Vijay(SVKNDV) knows better.
