I'm reiterating what I had already conveyed as a reply to your PM; Danny said he would not supply anymore of the sub woofer kits SW-12B + SA-1 Sub amp. Since I had requested Danny to add the requirement of my colleague earlier and since he has now backed out, I can pass on the sub woofer kit to you.

Regarding payment, I'm not sure whether Danny would be willing to absorb the insurance amount otherwise it would be additional; How much the would be is the figure only Danny can convey. Over to you Danny.

I'm assuming that you are referring to importing cabinets made by Reuben. If so, you may PM him and act as per his advice. I remember Danny stating that Reuben has to send the flat packs to Iowa Park so that they can be included in the pallet. In addition, you may have to PM Danny to work out the cost of freight.

I think many guys are having problem with the cost escalation on account of 35% of customs and duties and cost of USD vis--vis Indian Rupee, which stands at 52+ INR per USD.

While speaking to Sunit, I had mooted the idea of sourcing of the drivers from Peerless and crossover components and port from Danny in which case, cost per kit can be brought down substantially as only our local taxes i.e. VAT (Value Added Tax) and Octroi need to be paid.

He asked me to send mail which I sent but yet to hear from him. I also sent a PM to Danny just now and looking forward to hearing from him.

I am not an expert on this subject but here is my understanding.
Paypal lets you choose one of the 2 exchange rates for dollar, one is offered by paypal and the other by your credit card.
The paypal rate for dollar will be higher than the existing rate but you wont be charged anything extra on your credit card. For example, if 1$=Rs.50, paypal will charge something like Rs.51 and you will be charged Rs. 51 in you credit card statement. There will be no extra charge levied by credit card.

The other option is the exchange rate offered by your credit card. Paypal will charge in dollars and the exchange rate is determined by your credit card company. In case of my credit card, additional charge of 3.15% will be levied if you purchase anything in other currency. The exchange rate will also be unknown. You have to find out from your credit card company about this additional charge levied and then calculate which of the two options work out cheaper. For me, the paypal exchange rate worked out cheaper but not by much.
