Best option for getting Emotive XPA-5 to Bangalore, India.

I am looking at an option of getting Emotive XPA-5 to Bangalore. I looked at 3 options.

I am planning to get the following items

1. Directly from Emotiva using their international shipping - FedEx

Cost of item + Shipping = $1264
Tax + Duties = 40%
Total Landing cost = $1770
Total Landing cost INR = Rs. 1,10,000/-

2. ishopinternational

Total Landing cost INR = Rs 99,000/-

3. Borderlinx - DHL

Total Landing cost INR = Rs 1,05,000/-

So far ishopinternational looks cheaper.

I have read bad and good reviews about ishopinternational and borderlinx and also some horror stories where people got damaged packages and missing items. I cannot afford to hand carry the amp as its very heavy. I cannot ask a friend of mine either. So the only option is to get it shipped directly from US.

What do you guys thinks?

I know it is not much, why not avoid the 7 channel power cable? Buy it locally as it will involve some savings in terms of tax, shipping, duties etc. I know it is a drop in the pond, nevertheless a drop.

See if you can find a pre-owned by creating a thread in wanted sections. Saves you money and hassle.

Sent you a PM. I have an XPA-5 and UMC-1 and considering replacing with AVR to simplify the setup. Currently too many equipments...

Thanks mate. Most likely I have the first esoteric D-07X DAC in India. Good setup but the content is the issue for me. Tried for almost more than 2 years in acquiring A R Rahman CDs but could not succeed. I had all the original Magnasound and Pyramid CDs but lost most of them over years. I am in search again hopefully some one in the forum will help.
