And your point is .....apart from being a critic without much contribution to the discussion....

I hope you have gone through the whole thread instead of this single post. I did my part with contribution already.

And already apologized for being off topic.

I have owned bi wire speakers B&W LSA statements Axiom etc., which enabled biwiring. The little metal connectors between high low frequencies enabled single wired cables output as much as specific bi wired cables from MIT, Nordost, etc. so in my view, unless the speakers are internally bi wired there isn't much benefit. Open up a bi wired speaker and see for yourself.

Yes, they are called jumpers. Cable companies sell "audiophile" jumpers too. :D

Not only have I seen the internals of bi-wired speakers, I've built a pair for a friend too and in tests during the build I "thought" they made a difference. After the assembly was done, I proudly tried to demonstrate to this friend how bi-wiring made a difference. After listening, he looked at me as if I was nuts and nodded politely. Actually, I too couldn't hear a difference. :ohyeah:

Ha ha ha.

Those companies definitely found audiophile copper mine indeed.

I'll be waiting for the day to see new element 'ACu' (audiophile copper) in periodic table. :)

An inexpensive way of experimenting with biwiring is to substitute the connector plates between the bass and treble terminals in the speaker with a short piece of the speaker cable that you are using. Achieves the same purpose as running separate speaker cables from the amp to both terminals.

Yes I got what I needed to know, thanks to the initial few posts. I felt it made no sense for me to say anything after that, hence the silence.

I bi-amped my mission mx3 but hv not noticed a big difference..but ya I clearly noticed it when when I changed my speaker wire from local ones to the 16 guage ones I bought from hifi Mart

The best way to find out if the speaker is actually biwireable and not just lip service, is to disconnect the shorting lugs and play only the woofer. If the tweeter does not play then the speaker is the real deal.
Does it make a difference, yes it does. Even more so when 2 different types of loudspeaker cables are used to connect the woofer and the tweeter. An experienced dealer who knows this art will be of great assistance.

I would be interested to know if anyone experimented with an active cross over connected to each Port.

Does anyone have a link where there is an explanation of how to set up a Bi Amp with an active cross over?

MaSh
