Boltan Subwoofer - local to Chennai

Hi All,

Need a suggestion here. I came across a subwoofer Boltan in olx. Never heard of it. Dealer is saying he has only sold subwoofer in Tamil Nadu only. It's 12" for 12k. He shared couple of customers number and one among them mentioned that he replaced taga harmony TSW-200 to Boltan. This has caught my attention. Are there anyone in the forum from TN who have heard about it?

Never heard of this brand... what we are familiar with is Bolton!

Sure that the customer is not his brother or cousin ? I wonder why new comers always try to come up with very similar name to something popular. Anyway if they are putting the effort, why dont they put a bit more to come up with better name

That's what even I was thinking. That guy seemed genuine. Just thinking to give it a try as he is ready to sell for less then 10k.

Starting with the brand game...

Trust mainly depends on the psychology. If a product has a fancy name and high price then it would definitely be the best, no matter what.
There is a kind of selective frame of mind people carry when it comes to made in India.

Although foreign brands have shown their credibility... Indian products should also be given proper support.

The poor soul is also offering to give demo at his place... why don't you request FMs from that region... audition and post feed back?

That's a nice suggestion hydrovac. Actually that's the purpose of having this thread, you have put your words perfectly. I have urge to listen to it, but being in Bangalore its difficult.
