Buy HDTV DVR/PVR Now if you don't want to wait for months

Hi guys,

If you planning to buy a STB with recording facility, please buy it now else you will not be able to buy it for many months.

Because of floods in Thailand and the hard disk shortage because of it, there is a tough time coming for DTH companies.

Take example of Tata Sky HD+ (since I own it, know more about it), people are buying STBs at 4k, opening it and taking it out (a WD Green 500GB) which is retailing at 4.5k these days.

Also, if the 500GB will cost 4.5k, how can Tata Sky sell the STBs at 4k, surely either short supply or price increase.

Few days back i got message on my Ts HD+, book new HD PVR and get 50% discount...

the same message reflected as send some message to TS CC for same offer, and they will revert back ... (may be due to rush on that offer)...

I wonder, didn't find anyone discussing this amazing offer !!

Are you talking about 2.5" drives or 3.5" drives. AFAIK, WD green drives are only available for desktop which means that it will be 3.5". In this form factor, 1 TB drives cost between 2.7 - 2.8k.
