Can I ask Sony TV channel to increase its volume?

In HD format, most channels, including Sony, use 5.1 sound. Problem is, my MI soundbar's sound is a bit low, its + and - buttons don't work while bluetooth is used and my favourite soaps sound low. Other sources e.g. youtube, hotstar, StarSports are fairly loud. The only workaround I thought was to have another soundbar. Any way to approach Sony Channel?

If your soundbar is connected to your set-top box via HDMI cable, change the audio output in set-top box to PCM from DD. This should do the trick.

That's the problem: No HDMI, no remote as well.

Why are you running 5.1 over Bluetooth to a Soundbar? Try switching everything to Stereo.

I tried running in 2.1, but the sound quality deteriorates. Stereo is even worse. At least in 5.1, I can hear some audible nuances that enhance my listening pleasure
