In my view that speakers are designed for Sony DVD HT,
Check the speaker specification before connecting any external amp,
Because low cost amp not able to drive low ohm speakers

@sgmkumar1972 All speakers rated at 3ohms including sub woofer.
@dafreaking can you pls suggest something better with more input options and better control over speakers and sub woofer.
What type of psu is required? I have old 18.5v 3.5A laptop charger will it do?

Sorry mate everything else that I found under 2k was similar to this.

That's like 65 watts. No idea what you'd get with that kinda power. You can buy 24v 5A bricks from the same website

Well the cheapest alternatives would have been from these

From 1399 to 3499 many 2.1 options but the biggest problem is they are all rted 4ohm to 8ohm

Performance is alright for the price if you can manage
May be get the cheapest one and use an average powered laptop adaptor, like 12 to 16 v nd 2 amp may be..
Not a specialist, I am when it comes to managing low resistance equipments

I can increase my budget upto 2.5k if i het something really good.

Speakers ratting is no problem, i can change the load from 3 to 6 ohms by pairing 2 speakers to L & another 2 speakers to R channel as i have 4 same Satellite speakers.
Also i have another 4ohms woofer which i can use.

I like the below amplifier but it's out of stock and i am not sure its good or not.

I liked it because it has cooling fan so can use it for longer duration without any issue plus it has multiple input options like aux, bluetooth & usb.

I haven't actually tried any of the cheap ones. Just been looking at them to test different configurations. And I'm not sure between 1.5 and 2.5k there's much difference in the type of product you are getting since most of them come without PSUs/power adaptors

The amp you suggested is available at very low price but its lacking many control and input options otherwise its most vfm i came arround.

There's an Ayima 2.1 board available on Amazon for 2.5k. This has tone controls but you'll need a PSU/brick for it

See if this page has anything else suitable for your needs. Again. I have not tried any of these so have zero idea about the quality.

If you ask me buy anyone of these
XY-E100L
OR
XY-E100H

Both are from sinilink and have an app support (though it takes a while to get used to the apps tantrums)
They don't heat up even after prolonged use as I had used their XY-T00L which is a 2.0 board and I liked it a lot, no heating even in peak Delhi summer.. And thats what started me into class d and I bought the fosi bt20a pro..

The implementation and frequency calibration in these is pretty good.. No need of fan as they are supplied with heat sink in the packaging.

Try any one of these for your 2.1 needs
If you needed 2.0 I could have sold you mine.

Do you know if the subwoofer and other speaker crossovers on this work?

Like Tone controls, etc

But both amp doesn't have sub controls like sub volume & frequency.
I am planing to use satalite speakers with woofer so can't go with 2.0.

I haven't tried to be honest.. But they should.

Yes you can't control the sub Vol and frequency...
If that's what you want then get this one

Its a proven board and has the similar ic as those of sinilink..
Use appropriate laptop power supplies, may be a couple of volts less than maximum recommended..
Also one thing I can tell by experience... If you wish to switch to aux input from bluetooth then do that after switching the amp off and then attaching the aux input and after that switch it on.

These perform well wrt their price point..

That Mt-21 looks quite interesting. Thanks. Might pick one up for experimenting

Was fully bussy last month so couldn't update Got this Aiyima 2.1 amp today itself.
initial impression very positive.
build quality by look and touch feel is top notch, i haven't heard the sound quality yet.
Heatsink heavy and solid built i didn't expected such quality construction.
Currently i am facing few issues like my laptop power supply pin is bigger so i tried couple of laptop power supply borrowed from friends but non of them matched the pin size, some are smaller some are bigger. Don't know what to do now? How to match pin size.
Secondly this amp didn't came with any case or plate so how to keep it safe?

Ayima is a good choice, usually standard DC barrel type pin should fit these amps. Alt u can cut and fit DC barrel type connector or directly solder to the PCB, just be careful about the polarity
I had purchased 2.1 from inkocean for Sony 5.1 , 3 Ohms speakers powered by Lenovo adaptor , no stability issues but the pots have gone bad.
Try 12V Tata Sky or old Linksys , TPlink or Asus , Toshiba adaptor for checking pin compatibility

How many speakers of your sony 5.1 you are using? What is the ohms of your sub?
My router adapter is 12v 1.5A will it work with amp? I just want to try it to check amp working or not, is it safe?

That might be really low in terms of power/amperege.

You'll need to make a case for it

Just now i tried the amp using same 12v 1.5A adapter and its working, i know power is very less for the amp but i just wanted to test the amp.
I will try to arrange more powerful brick for the same.
Ha e you made case for your amp? Can you guide me for the same? Or can you please give me some lead for case?
