Please advice if I go ahead with it or wait ?

Prices for Epson PJs revised wef 1st Aug

8100 is now at around 1.55L
6100 for 1.19 L
3600 for 90k

Mits hc4000 is for 81k

Optoma HD25 - Not that I am aware of .

So now the choice for me in between
Epson 3600
Mits 4000
Optoma 25

I woul prefer dlp becos there is a lot of diff in sharpness betweem dlp and lcd. Ive seen it with my eyes. The only area where 6100 would beat hd25 is on 3d. I compared transformers movie in mits 4000 and 6100. sad that the almighty projector let me down on sharpness and skin tones.

For me.. 3600 and mits4000 both are reliable OLD horses. But its alwys good to be ahead of time. Hence hd25.

Yes, DLP is better than LCD. (But go for high end DLP with out rainbows 6x speed)

I inquired from most of the PJ dealers in Pune about HD25 and it seems most of them do not deal in Optoma.Thats the concern about Optoma. If sales is so poor what would be service support like.

Demoed few PJs and dont think 3D make any sense.

Only thing about sony is price. Try acer 6510. Getting good reviews in projector central.

if budget is not a factor go for jvcs..you will never regret.

yes it is a fact..optoma service maybe poor..than epson..
but at the same time..dlp is off course better..
its like..say..
what would u prefer..
a huge lcd tv like picture..

a picture we see in good cinema halls...

dlp excels in this area,,the film likme image..of course not every model..quality increases with price..
now decide what will suit you..

Today i tested with my SONY HW50ES (Ofcourse higher price)
So far i have a mind set that, projector never been equivalent to Cinema hall PQ (No JPEG artifacts compared to TV).

It is absolute real movie watching experience with higher brightness & contrast.
Really superb. Just projected on a wall with putty & primer.

Lcos technology is mixing of DLP + LCD. If you have deep packets go for Lcos.
Otherwise go for DLP. IMO sony HW50ES is better than JVC X-35.
But JVC higher end models beat sony, Still JVC is No.1 in higher segments.

Epson TW 8100 is a good choice if u want 3D but the price you are saying 1.3L seems to be wrong. I think the dealer has not included tax and later will add it. Please ensure price including all taxes and check the credibility of the dealer. Product is good no doubt
