Denon 1612 AVR + which Speakers ?

assuming you are in the market for a 5.1 package.. see this

Wharfedale Moviestar MS-100 HCP Home Theatre Cinema Package

or this if you can stretch your budget

Wharfedale DX-1 Home Theatre Package

or Boston Acloustics ( Marantz and BA are sister companies )

Boston Acoustics A 2310HTS Home Theater Speaker Package

all these are avbl from Hifimart.

These are just my 2 bits.. other FM's may have something to say too but make up your mind and go for it. You wont go too wrong with these combos ( assuming you are in the market for an affordable 5.1 setup )

There is also an AAD setp available for Rs 40k at hifimart.

regards,
mpw

Mr. Paramesh ....... are you married yet?
So much of intolerance? How would you handle a woman hen-pecking you on a 24x7 routine? :indifferent14:

Hi,

it is not angry man.I think I am irritating you peoples by posting . I finalised AVR by you peoples and I posted for speakers. then again some comment .so I feel better to quit.
see I dont know so much abt this systems ,by coming over here I came to knew that there is good avr like Denon and Marantz .like that I want to know speakers name also, that is my curiosity.thats it.

For you paramesh:

An old man was sitting in the courtyard of his house along with his son who had received a high education. Suddenly a crow perched on a wall of the house. The father asked the son: What is this? The son replied: It is a crow. After a little while the father again asked the son: What is this? The son said: It is a crow.

After a few minutes the father asked his son the third time: What is this? The son said: Father, I have just now told you that this is a crow. After a little while the old father again asked his son the fourth time: what is this? By this time some statement of irritation was felt in the son's tone when he rebuffed his father: Father! It is a crow, a crow. A little after the father again asked his son: What is this? This time the son replied to his father with a vein of temper. Father: You are always repeating the same question, although I have told you so many times that it is a crow. Are you not able to understand this?

The father went to his room and came back with an old diary. Opening a page he asked his son to read what was written. What the son read were the following words written in the diary:

'Today my little son was sitting with me in the courtyard, when a crow came there. My son asked me twenty-five times what it was and I told him twenty-five times that it was a crow and I did not at all feel irritated. I rather felt affection for my innocent child.'

The father then explained to his son the difference between a father's and a son's attitude. While you were a little child you asked me this question twenty-five times and I felt no irritation in replying to the question twenty-five times and when today I asked you the same question only five times, you felt irritated, annoyed and impatient with me.

Friend, we suggested you best avr and speaker systems that is available in your budget. But remember nobody can spoon feed you. It is up to you to decide which one suits you. The Marantz AVR is a good selection. Now listen to as many speaker setups you can demo.

And pardon me if you find my posts to be harassments to you. You need to learn what is humor and what is serious. This my last post on this thread (unless I'm compelled to post again):D:rolleyes:

hi,

please stop this thread.

Well, thread cannot be stopped as it does not have Stop, Play & Pause buttons like your AVR.

dont post any new.
pls let it end with this post.

I and you cannot stop anyone posting in threads unless he is doing something "illegal" here. :ohyeah:

this is my last post.

Why? You have to post review of your AVR and selected speakers. This is hidden rule of any forum. If you ask any question and buy that, you need to post review. It is courtesy also.

I feel it is not good to discuss these thing in forum.
FMs are helping you to graduate from LKG to UKG and so on. See, I just passes Std '1' exams. :ohyeah:

Go for the Denon 1612. I'm using one and is satisfied by its performance. It has 4 hdmi inputs and two digital inputs which is more than enough for your use.

Denon 1612 is an entry level AVR with latest HD audio, 3D and ARC support. It has a USB port for music playback from ipod or pendrives. On the connectivity side there are 4 HDMI, one optical, one coaxial and a couple of AV inputs. The analog signals are not upconverted to HDMI, which is not a problem for me as all my devices have hdmi out. There is pre-out for surround back to make it 7.1 by adding a stereo amp. It has Audessey Multeq auto calibration which is very useful for calibrating speakers.

I'm using Magnat Interior 5001 speaker system which is a german brand and imported from amazon.de. The total price for speakers is just 19K. Remember the lower model magnat 501a is priced 30K in technoguru. The sound quality is very good and surround effects are spot-on. The subwoofer gives the occasional thump you will require during movies. It used to rattle when I first connected the speakers. But after a few days of use, the rattling has stopped. The satellite speakers are small but attractive and produces crisp sound. Overall it is very good for movies and OK for music. The only field where I'm not satisfied is the bass performance of the subwoofer. I need more bass:licklips::licklips:.
