Cap'n, this post is adding no value either. It has not made Goldmund any affordable or dismantled nuclear warheads...heck! the cat is still coughing up furballs :annoyed: THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED...

Honestly, I wrote Biz School essays that were less stressful than the TBHP 'Statement of Interest'. Got in after 3 attempts...

gearheads.in is another option for all you petrolheads, can give that a shot!

But you kept trying ...and got in in the end.

I do understand that they want to keep out certain youth/speed/irresponsible people. Cars don't always bring out the best in young guys. Damnit, often they don't bring out the best in me! :cool:

oh yeah...I persevered :D Wanted to get in touch with some folx there but then my PM privileges were removed as well...and the posts were heavily moderated...so all I was left with was being a trawler which I anyways was before I joined...so... :rolleyes:

Frankly, I am ashamed of some of the indian forums like Techenclave, which is full of foul-mouthed, ill mannered, precocious immature "techies".
Team BHP follows a elitist 'holier than thou' approach with ultra snobbish culture where they are proud that they do not accept your membership application in first 10 tries.

Thanks for sharing those forum suggestions! It’s unfortunate that some communities can have such negative experiences, but it’s good to know there are better alternatives for connecting with the Indian community abroad.
 
Tbhp is overmoderated. Most veterans left tbhp lomg ago and what we have now is not many good posts. I guess, most of the old tbhp members are in gearheads.
Another place for autoheads is hvkforum in facebook. But, it is not great either these days with the attitude of members there.

Exactly. I am also a member with TBHP (since 2009). I joined them when I was looking for a car and had many good/healthy discussions and finally bought the Fort Fiesta.

Then I opened up a thread on Ford fiesta which has got very good support and many Fiesta owners joined the thread and contributed. The thread becomes very popular but one fine morning, some moderator closed the thread giving some funny reasons.

Many experienced members who contributed their experiences on cars were left since then, and I'm too not contributing in the forum nowadays.

Their moderation is too painful and punishments are given even for small error without even considering how senior the members are.

Luckily, the forum still has many members visiting and chatting.
