So, it has arrived! Congrats Rahul!
Bangalore is now fertile ground for a DAC comparo! Gvenu, ROC, Vinny, Gobble you should get together for sure!

Congratulations g0bble!

Please share listening impressions of the 4715, and sonic comparisons with your 6002, if you still got it. I have a few questions:

1) Since it looks like you directly got it from 47 labs in Japan, have you got 220V version?
2) Have you also got the transport that goes with it? Or have you done away with transports these days?
3) Which connections are possible?
4) How much did you end up paying including customs? If you do not want to spell it out openly, please PM me.

Regards.

Congrats! Detailed review please :)

I guess this is for the PC? Did you managed to get the Juli@?

why this specific dac btw ? Any reason ? what is the improvement in sound ?

I wanted to stop spending on gear to listen to great lows mids and highs but ultimately disjointed leading to dissatisfaction and leading to purchase of another piece of gear with even better Lows mids or highs ... Many reviews mentioned cohesion as its strength allowing the listener to focus on music, rather than experience a missing the forest for the trees syndrome.

Congratulations g0bble!

Hi Asit

1. It is 220V version custom made. Since Sakura Systems in US did not have 220V version, he forwarded my order to 47 labs and they shipped to me.
2. Never asked for Transport, I plan to use an AMD Fusion based HAPC with ESI Juli@ (for its better clock)
3.Only Co-ax
4. $1500 (incl. shipping via Japan Post EMS -> India SpeedPost). Duty was calculated on envelop price as you see in the pic (for which I also submitted a very pretty looking bill):D

A visit to my place is due now gobble

Let it burn in, sure we can do a comparo with your Ayon

Initial listening impressions - I can hear the absence of what was bothering me and made me spend $$$$. Details in a review after 25hrs burn-in.

Thanks for you Kind Wishes All

Edit: @Hydra, yet to get the mobo, currently using with CDP and Oppo alternatively.

Gobble, ROC
the comparison with the Ayon will be apples to oranges as far as comparisons between DACs go. A comparison with the PD DAC will be the right way to go, their philosophies are similar - no digital filters, output op-amps, etc
Nice DAC Selection....niche manufacturers are the way to go

Enjoy
