Movies now *NOT* in Tata Sky HD

Just got a message that Movies Now is available. Channel 361.

But channel does not exist. I even restarted my STB

Are they giving Movies Now SD channel?
Nothing is mentioned about HD in the message

Considering the bandwidth issue of TS, they may be giving SD

Movies Now (SD) is now showing on channel # 361. I presume Movies Now HD will get added once TataSky is able to resolve it's TP shortage issues.

Thats true. Same set of movies gets repeated all day. This channel is getting bored.
Its slightly OT: In Star Movies HD, whole movie is shown in 16:9 ( Full screen ) but when end credits starts rolling its turns to black bars (2.35:1 which I assume is OAR of movie). Whats the Logic?

yes, star movies HD is great. but now I am tired of it, there aren't many new good flicks showing.

Few months back they had some pixar flicks and also other animation movies like cloudy with a chance of meatballs. My kids accidently deleted the recordings and pester me everyday to record them again. If they really want to repeat movies they can atleast repeat pixar movies as well.:sad:

interesting observation. the content doesn't look stretched to me, to rule out any changes from TS side. If they were doing it, why would they leave out the credits?

The original film content is not streched but clipped at sides so that it fits 16:9 displays. From what I read, the content is usually shot such that this clipping des not cause any significant loss.
Ironically, I dont know why they dont take same care for credits.
