Need help for budget LED @ 85k

Brand - Preferably Sony or Samsung

Budget - 85k max

Size - 40 " to 46 "

Priority - Good 2D PQ, 3D is optional (might use very sparingly/ no big fan)

Usage - 80% on DTH (with HD), 20% on Blu-ray

Others - Smart TV / Internet TV / Good UI - Not high on my priority. Can live without these stuffs. Better if it could support a wide range of video codecs.

Guys suggest me the best as per the above requirement. Was almost convinced (on paper) with Samsung 40F6400 (70k @ Reliance Digital) until i saw the demo and compared with Sony 42W800 (78.4k@ Sony World), which looked much better (IMO).

Then was wondering why not 46W700 (83k @ Reliance Digital), with bigger screen size, around the same price. Dunno if 2D PQ is as good as 42W800.

Wot say ppl, shld i try 40F6800 or 40F7500 or 40W900 ?? Will it make any difference. But 40F7500 or 40W900 should be way out of my budget i guess...

The W800 is better than W700. If possible go for 47W800A. You may have to increase the budget slightly but totally worth. But if that is not possible, go with 42W800A.

If you are not averse to plasma, you can think of Samsung 51F8500 for 72K.

Sony came out with passive 3D this year. Samsung have improved the active 3D shutter glass. At the end many prefer passive 3D at the cost of resolution which is not obvious. IMO overall feature - sony better than samsung

47ET5d from Pana are available at 70+, and 55ET5D is avilable at 90+. It's a good VFM option and definitely worth considering. These are though 2012 models with Full HD, with Passive 3D & IPS panel.

I saw a price of 64k for et5 at Croma and the showroom guy was also talking about a bluray or dvd player free.

Guys, am more inclined to go with Sony or Samsung. Am having trust issues with the other brands. As regarding Plasma, am totally unfamiliar with it (Performance, PQ etc). I don't wanna get into researching lcd vs plasma. So will go with the lcd (suffering from herd mentality)

So please suggest me a Sony / Samsung LCD with 85k budget which has the best 2D PQ in 40-46" size. I can live without 3D.

Is W700 & F6400 that bad when compared to W800?? Felt it was more VFM.

Tech gurus... plz help me out. Presently i own LA46B750 (2011 made, 7series 46" Samsung LCD, non 3D with 200Hz motion rate & DLNA). Absolutely satisfied with its performance.
