Need Help....

Hi Guys,

This is my first post on this site. Hope i am not breaking any rules here.

I have zero knowledge of home theater system and I want to buy a home theater system for my hall. Dimensions 20ft by 18 ft. Ard 350 sq. ft area. I have no idea which one to buy. I went to ezone and they suggested me onkyo hts 3300. But when i searched for it online, i have come to know that its only good for a room of size 10 ft by 10ft.

My budget is anythg under 40k. which home theater system should i buy for a 350 sq ft area and my budget. Yamaha, Denon or onkyo. Please help.

Onkyo3300 for 10X10 room? Where did you read that ? Did you get demo of the system?

Is your budget only for home theatre receiver + speakers or does that include a Dvd/BD Player also?
If it is for both, you have somewhat restricted choice.

Have you auditioned high end home theatre systems from Sony/ philips?(their high end will be somewhere near onkyo/yamaha entry level.). The package will include the source(DVDp with HDMI Out) . Someone from this forum was very happy with one of such systems from philips. Use 'search' option on forum to find out more.
