Hi Friends,

I'm new member of your active community.

I'm interested to buy latest 42" inch HDTV (Plasma or Full LED LCD TV)

After researching for many days I've narrowed my search on following 3 models.

1. Panasonic Veirra 42G10D (Plasma TV, Full HD)
2. LG 42PQ70 (Plasma TV, HD Only)
3. LG 42LH90QR (Full LED TV, Full HD)

Further is it worth to go for Full HD in India.

My Max Budget = Rs.75,000/-
My Highest Priority is = Crispy & Stunning Picture Quality with Natural Rich Colours.
I will use it with = Tata SKY DTH, Philips BDP3000 player.
(TV must perform better with SD signals of Tata sky)

My local TV shop gave me following street prices when enquired...

Panasonic Veirra 42G10D = Rs. 59,250/-
LG 42PQ70 = Rs. 40,650/-
LG 42LH90QR = Rs. 68,500/-

I've heard 42G10D performance on tata sky is not good. Some SD issue.

LG 42PQ70 is stylish. It also looks better in picture quality when compared with 42LH90QR. However it lags little behind 42G10D.

LG 42LH90QR is costly TV. Does this means it is better than G10 and PQ70 ?

-----------------------------------------------------
Is plasma outdated ?

Of all three models whose picture quality is stunning ?

Totally confused which model to choose. :indifferent14:

Can someone help me make a better choice

Also suggest any other model than above three.

Thanks in advance. Please do reply.

Rds, Gaurav

I own a 47 LH90 for the last 6 months. most of the problems highlighted in this forum have been fixed by a firmware upgade provided by LG...will highly recommend LH90 if still available in stock.

well the LH90 is good of the options, but if u want SD quality then the sony 40EX500 has the edge.

After reading this i'm more concerned about my health now. than tv...

Looks like Andew has setup the backlight too high and is facing the issues which anyone would face while watching a bright object!

I have a 42LH90 for 6 months now and watching from a distance of 8-9 feet. Did get my regular eye checup last week, the number from the last 2 years has not changed.
