Though the V series and above in panny are brilliant.. if you can afford it .. go for it. there is nothing even close in the LCD/LED/plasma market....

for people on a budget U series from Panasonic rocks.. ( wud prefer it over X series .. )... got me a U30 50inch plasma for 67k... very nice...

Im confused between brand new U30D 42" and demo V20D 42" the difference in cost is about 7-8k, is going in for V20 a better option even if its a display piece..or will U30D be a better choice??

U30 is an excellent product and close ur eyes and go for it as is is:
1. A full HD tv
2. White levels are improved over U20.
3. Black levels are very good
4. Cheaper than V20 by 8k or so.
5. In that 8k u can buy a BD player, Media player or good sound system from sony or philips.....

SO go for U30 instead of V20 demo piece..... if delaer gives u V20 in around 47-48 for demo than go for it, its a good buy at that price....:clapping:

Yes u made a right investment by going with U30d at 43.5, thats the correct price. Waiting for ur review as u are the first one on this forum to have it.

Enjoy just run in properly for around 100 hours or so...

I bought the 42U30 Plasma for 43K. were you able to find out how to access service menu? I could not get to play 1080p mkv files(AVC video adn AAC audio). got a "cannot read file" message. played the 720P files though. Were you able to play 1080P files?

Hi there are files, and formats which are not supported by these TVS. Same is with my V series. Cannt help it just invest in a good media player...
