strangely - it does not have hdmi.. so defeats 90% of the reason to buy an ati 5xxx card for Hometheatre - HD bitstream through HDMI. article does nto mention if it enforces a PAP over DVI so not sure if even an DVI-HDMI convertor would help.

IMHO if HD bitstream is not critical, then the new Nvidia cards with VP4 pure video (g240 and newer) would be a better bet. seems that the VP4 cards have a really good scaler - useful for SD -> HD.
