his fetish for the 'anglais/limey skin' has taken him this route.

I am sorry, but I think comments like this are inappropriate .. moreso since we have people from other countries browsing , or becoming members of, this forum.
Maybe this particular post is not that clear, but I have seen other posts where things are said even more explicitly.

tirthankar,

thanks for your link to the stereo hunt in Kol. It was a good read for me.

Hi mpw

Go with your gut feel. All my life i have purchased a lot of stuff without listening to it. Forget home demo, some of the stuff i purchased i had not even heard in a showroom.

I believe, if you remove all the 'Adjectives' (excellent, outstanding, good, bad, worst etc. etc.) from the speakers then you get to listen the truth that lies behind them.

Hi,

If you have decided on EPOS, I suggest you travel to bangalore and give it a listen.

You are free to spend time at my place or distributor's. I have been hearing that latest EPOS series have improved on Tweeters. In that case I suggest you give it a try before deciding on M12i. No doubt M12i is a good speaker and to me it sounded little bright.

byw, I seriously suggest you need to audition Traingle speakers as well. Recently Fxenterainment has taken dealership.

I know its hard, its worth spending your money good way. Given your feedback on the forum so far.

My choice would be anyday EPOS Elan over Epic or M12i, because it will take you closer to real highend audio.

If you want good home theater, then go for m12i and M8i.

or Traingle Color or Paradigm Stuido 10 or 20 + SVS Sealed subwoofer or REL T5

Thanks
Venkat

I am  at these sudden developments.
Was away for a couple of days & I see mpw has taken a 'U' turn
Will be meeting him today so let me find out first hand from the horses mouth regarding the new 'plan' devised by him

@ mpw

in case you find the Epos a tad bright, you can try this simple tweak:
remove the mesh grille that covers the tweeter. it's held in place by the tweeter's magnetic field, so use a strong magnet to pop them out.

I read about this in hifi news and tried it on my erstwhile m22s. it certainly helped smooth out the top end to a certain degree.

Hi Venkat,

Interesting that you mentioned Triangle. Any idea regarding the cost of the Color Models???

Thanks

Triangle is highly overpriced in India. A friend of mine went to audition and the Esprit Comete sounded good to him. However this 1300$ speaker's asking price was 120k in bangalore.

He finally ended up buying a pair of Usher Mini Dancer 1 floorstanders for not too much more. He just got his amp today - a Plinius 9200. It was an excellent match for his speakers.

It makes no sense when a 1200$ speaker of one brand is priced close to a 4000$ speaker of another brand.

Who is the dealer you are referring to in bangalore? I thought FXEntertainment and Profx priced products quite reasonably.

Very Bad!!!. I had a chance to listen to them at one of my Friends place in France.

Its sounded too good to me and got excited when I saw FX started dealing with Triangle and T+ A brands.

Guys it looks like Profx lost Focal speaker dealership!!!!.

Exactly the reason why I asked venk61176, the pricing.

lol, no point in sharing reviews now, the trigger has been pulled, good or bad, here come the M12i's :D

Will be hearing them when I swing by mpw's place in the near future. Will be going armed with same music, that we heard during all the demo's, plus some more. Hopefully it will be a good session w r t
A)Time
B) Synergy of NAD & Epos

Fingers crossed for mpw

:)
