I like to change my current surrounds polk t15 to something better as i find monopoles to be distracting. My configuration is Denon x1550h, Polk Fusion T series with polk hts12 sub.
Room 19x10 feet with some acoustic treatment.
Will be sitting 16 feet from a 123inch screen.
Only speaker i can find was Wharfedale WH-DFS Surround Speaker from hifimart but i am not sure with its 86db sensitivity my avr will be able to drive it? And not much review online for wharfedale, any other speaker i should check?

Note: polk t15 was placed too high and it was feeling like atmos so i placed 2 feet down to test,, thats when i felt surrounds distracting. Attaching pics

I have the Wharfedale DFS as surrounds with a Denon X2300 AVR and they work perfectly fine, even with D240 front towers. I have them about 2 ft above ear level on rear wall.

I use these Taga ones - https://www.tagaharmony.com/en/products/3589/home-speakers/product/9030/platinum-s-100-v-3

They sound incredible. I am selling all of my gear, if you are interested in buying these used feel free to dm me.
Hi thanks will let you know, did you upgrade from monopoles to taga dipoles, if so how was the transformation?

Is there a significant difference between monopoles and bipolar? Whats your opinion?

I use Sonodyne Bipolar surrounds , As per i heard normal surround and Bipolar , They are more powerful since they have dual drivers on both sides.
But bipolars Need to be placed carefully to achieve best performance. I also felt it pushes more bass than normal surround speakers.

pros:
It looks beautiful than normal surround
More Powerful + good bass

Cons:
Need to be fixed correctly ( within 1-2 feet height from ear level) .
Sometimes felt too powerful , so need to reduce -db by 2 to 4 db in AVR.
More pricy
Generally works best for Rear (back )surrounds

I heard them during demo (Hifimart also recommend them) and liked them and so bought them as part of overall 5.1.2 system. Wharfedale system was also recommend on the forum when I had asked advise before purchase in 2017.

Before the Wharfedale system I had a basic Onkyo HTiB so naturally the difference was huge in this system !!

During my use I find them very efficient for movie soundtracks or if I use the dolby test clips. I watch blu rays / digital content and sounds great. Music I do 2.1 or 2.0 so never tested in multi channel audio. Do check the size as these are bigger and as mentioned by other members the placement 2 ft above listening position at rear.

I don't think I can comment technically so giving you my usage experience. Hope it helps !!

Hi thanks, So You have placed it as side surrounds right? At what angle to the listening postion?

And Is there sonodyne bipolar within my budget?

Yes , It should not installed too height from ear level. If its installed within 1-2 feet then its fine.
But with type of surround speakers which is facing downside , we can install even more heighter.
