helo gurus this is my bad experience with the tata sky customer care.
feb 26 i ordered the hd box and i got the same day from the dealer in chennai.i was told that the installlation will be in 76 hours. on 28 feb i got a call from the cc and asked about the details and they promised for installation the next day.but the installations guys came on 2 march and installed the dish and then they saw the setup box after installing the dish.they told that they made a mistake that the dish the fixed is not for hd and they promised tomorrow they will replace the dish.after two long day they didnt even call no such installation.i waited so patiently and made several calls to cc but no rtepesponse.i mailed to the nodal officer about my bad.today i just called the dealer where i bought the setup b0x and asked to take back setup box to refund the money. now plz advuce the alternative dth provider who service and quality is good . thanks a lot
 
there is no such HD dish.. its same.. just the stb is diffrent.. send an email to nodal officer and dont tell you are feeling bad tell them if they do not fix it soon and do not send an audit report you will screw their happiness....

if they dont respond.. lemme know.. i know how to take juice out of them... one email will be more than enough..
 
I got a TS+ HD STB installed last week. IMO why are you not looking at getting the TS+HD box, it costs like 1400 more than the regular HD box, and the +HD box comes with a 500GB hdd that allows you to record shows.

I was not around when it was installed. I was travelling from out of town, so I asked my dad to call up TS helpline and get it installed. I had called my dad sometime around 11am and the whole thing was set up and running by the time I got back home at arnd 8pm.

They came and replaced both the Dish and the LNB. The LNB was replaced because they had to pull a second cable for the TS+ HD box. The guy who did the install told my dad that they were replacing all the dishes with larger ones even for those using regular SD service. With Dish TruHD, they did put in a bigger than normal dish when i got that.

yes for dish they might change the dish but for tata sky.. they use the same normal dish...
Same issue with Dish HD. I have given them HARDEST TIME for this SCAM they are creating, still only promises and nothing at the ground level. These companies enjoy committing frauds in India as they can mint easy money or save ample to build an empire.

Key is, we just tolerate them and NEVER SUE them.

people who have done that.. have got their right....

trust me its all bout us.. companies dont worry coz they think consumer will just just blah blah and abuse and relax.. wish it was like US or UK... these
stupid companies would have rubbed their head on our shoes..

they need to learn...
 
send an email to nodal officer with the details and let them know its gonna go high if they dont respond.. make them understand the value of our time.. else they will pay for all the time we waste on them...

I completely agree dude. We just need to give it a start and these companies will start crash landing on us like anything. Just a change in attitude. Once I start doing it, will not leave any of these and infact will look for an opportunity to sue them for compromising customer's rights and taking them for granted who is paying for their revenue and salaries!!!
 
HAVE A LOOK AT THIS.. I GOT AN APOLOGY EMAIL FROM THEM FOR JUST THE SMELL I GAVE THEM THAT I WILL SCREW THEIR HAPPINESS...

AND GOT THE WORK DONE IN 24 HOURS.... with 500 rs refund and an audit report which i asked them...

After calling up the technician for almost a month now I am forced to write this email on the verge of filing a legal complaint expecting a quick reply.



Now here comes the issue. I took TATA SKY HD connection almost a month back and I had Airtel connection before. The only mistake I made was that I did

Not keep a check on your so called polite technicians. After 10 days when I went to terrace it so frustrating to see that your tech did not EVEN FIT THE TATS SKY HD

ANTENNA. Infact he used the same Airtel antenna just replacing the decoder fixed my connection. I have been calling that guy since 20 days now and he states that he

will Send it after I blasted him. dont you guys think TATA SKY should be pulled for a case of forgery ( section 420) . I haven't done it yet and finally when I told that technician

About the complaint he states ** what will happen, complain wherever you want or go to court.** finally I made a successful attempt to record the last call where he stated

Tata sky and to do whatever I want and I dont have proof. Now if you people think that consumers are fools in India. Think about it again, it will be a lot different this time.

I will wait for 48 hours as a normal response time. if still nothing happens. I am going ahead to take this thing legal and I have enough proof to make u people get straight.

Dont think customers will take whatever you give to them. i forgot to mention I was charged 500rs extra for the connection as a so called premium.

I have all bills, photographs taken and the calls recorded. I will take back all the 20 days of time and mental torture you people have given me.

Soon we will meet at the consumer court. I will see to it you people dare not act smart with rest of consumers.

In a country like India even consumer courts are not helpful many times.


I had a very bad experience with reliance big tv. I bought 3 connections for 1 year. 2 out of which were never activated and 1 was activated with wrong plan!


I filed a case in consumer court and my mistake was that I hired a lawyer and didnt go to the hearing myself. The lawyer was useless and the case was dismissed.


Next I filed an appeal in the State commission and decided to fight it myself. I had all the records, photographs, their replies via mail where they had accepted their mistake etc etc.

Even then the case was dismissed citing this decision from Supreme court which takes away all the telecommunication cases away from the ambit of consumer courts and by definition DTH also comes under telecommunication.

And that too when I had submitted strong points on why this decision from Supreme court was wrong and didnt apply to the case and how State commission had absolute rights in deciding the case.


The way in which judgement was framed makes me wonder if reliance had a nexus with judges. Because the 1st time I filed the complaint I had mentioned that 2 connections didnt work and 1 had wrong plan. The 1st judgement talked about wrong plan but not about the other 2 connections.



The 2nd time I filed a complaint the reason was that the judment from the lower court was silent on the other 2 connections. And to my surprise even then the state commission didnt talk about 2 connections and went on harping about the tune of just 1 connection which was not even the basis of complaint the 2nd time!!

thats a lot of effort buddy and yes a cheers for that try.. but trust me.. days are close when these shitty companies will be near our feet.. i do understand the hearing and the conspiracy what happened behind....

but we will have to try to get them straight.. dnno why it happened.. or the adv messed up the case filing initially...


and yes through that article things have changed but things can still be done .. and make these people beg for mercy..

finally its done.. good.. did you send them an email... ????

check if receiver is set to any audio mode ...

people who have 1910 will be able to assist as i have no idea bout the interface and settings on 1910..

The problem lies in the fact that the HD DVR box does not output Dolby Digital via HDMI, only via Optical/Coaxial. Connect an Optical/Coxial cable to your receiver and connect the HDMI cable directly to your TV.

The problem lies in the fact that the HD DVR box does not output Dolby Digital via HDMI, only via Optical/Coaxial. Connect an Optical/Coxial cable to your receiver and connect the HDMI cable directly to your TV.

Use any cheap RCA cable to connect the Coax SPDIF output on your TS HD box to one of the Coax Inputs behind the 1910. I used a cable I had lying around, you could even use a single cable from a 3 channel AV RCA cable.

You then need to go into the parameter menu and change audio input to the coax input for this source. This is a 2 step process:

Step 1: Assign the Digital input you have connected the RCA cable to the source you are using. This step is optional if you use the digital input assigned to this input on the AVT. e.g. if you have connected the HDMI to Sat/CBL and the Coax to Coax-2 SAT/CBL, then you can skip this step
a. Open the Menu on the AVR and go to Input Setup/Assign/Input Asign (5-1-1)
b. Go to your INPUT where you have the TS+HD Box connected using HDMI and change the Digi connection to the Coax input that you are using.

Step 2: Set the AVR to process input from the digital input
a. Go to Input Setup/Input Mode menu in the AVR (5-3)
b. Set Input Mode to read Digital in place of the default Auto

This process should enable DD on your Denon 1910 AVR with the TS+HD STB.

We should ALMOST ALWAYS AVOID using OPTICAL AUDIO cables as they are rather STUPID in converting the same Digital audio signals which we get through coaxial to optical to pass to AVR. Its FAR MORE UNRELIABLE than using ANY CHEAP RCA CABLE, even a single wire pushed inside the Coaxial sockets of STB and AVR can do if you already have common ground connected (like HDMI, Component, Composite) connected through TV or AVR.

The reason I advise to avoid optical is that you do not get ANY BENEFIT of using Optical and instead have to invest heavily on the cable which may stop working (like mine) in few months! SAME Digital Audio is pass through both the connection and in fact Optical has 2 additional conversions at either end (Digital electrical signals to optical and back to the SAME electrical signal on the AVR).

Optical cables were invented to eliminate any power supply noise which might be present at the source. Currently we do not have such issues as all our sophisticated Audio equipment supporting Digital Audio do not exhibit such noise. Also, if there is a common ground present in anyway, that elimination is anyway not there!
