Am a newbie in the field of home theatre and would love to but a ht. My budget is around 30k
Auditioned onkyo hts 3400 and Yamaha yht 296 and I find the latter better.( not to mention that I'm a Yamaha fan) I find no one talking about Yamaha here, is it because they dont have it or is that bcoz onkyo better.
Onkyo 3400 is 24990(modern sounds, domlur) and Yamaha yht 296 is 32000 (yamaha square, domlur) in Bangalore.

Has anyone seen a better price for yht 296?

Nope I havent seen YHT 296 there. But when I asked about Denon 1312xp, he called up the distributor and quoted the price for 28,900Rs. Which is the best one can get. (No additional charges for Credit card payment).

You can go ahead and check with him. If he has the contact for Yamaha Distributor, then he can give you a price quote.

Bought Onkyo 3400 from Onkyo Sight and Sound, Ameerpet, Hyd for 23000. The same is the price in Bajaj Electronics, Hyderabad too. You can bargain for free HDMI in Bajaj

ProFX advertises 1312 at 24K. We shud get 10% down on ad price. See profx website. Did u get a 1312 or 1612?

I got 1312XP its with 5.1 speakers as well...profx has only avr for 24k

no the boston speaker package is not available in india yet
