Here is a link to the various threads regarding the street prices of LCD/Plasma TV in Singapore incase if any one is interested in comparing the same with the prices in India. Since there is a plethora of choice available here in Singapore you may have to go within the individual thread to read on further on the discussion to see what price is available for a particular model. All the prices in discussion would be in Singapore dollars 1 Singapore dollar = INR 31

Folks,
I expected this thread to be very active post the sops given by FM the day before. WIth the average price of a 32" coming down by 650 rupees (or hasnt it, yet?), can you folks post down any recent prices for any of the electronics, if you have had a chance to visit retailers this week?

Your posts much appreciated.
regards
Murali

Samsung A450 - 36,500
Samsung A550 - 41,000

I might also go to Panasonic Showroom and Girias. Will put up the prices soon.

Happy Shopping!

Srisetty,

Great price report. I think you should check with Devi Electronics (Jayanagar) also. They normally give the best deal in Bangalore.

Hi guys, I have almost finalized for Samsung 32A550. The prices seem to be falling...

I checked in many showrooms and when I quote less, they are ready to come down.

In ezone Indiranagar, the price tag was displayed as 39,990. When I said that there are other showrooms offering at 38,990, he immediately agreed for 38,990 price without thinking twice. Do you think I should ask for much less?

Also, are the prices going to reduce further ?

pritesh_up,

Best deals with combo offers would be at Reliance Digital, Croma, E-Zone and X-Cite. The best I have come across in the 32" LCD segment are Panasonic and Philips all things considered. Do check them out for yourself though.

Visited Reliance Digital last weekend. They were offering 10% discount on all SAMSUNG LCDs.

You could have picked up the Panasonic PV8 and Philips 4750 or Onkyo HTIB for the same resulting in much better SQ and PQ. Well anyways if you enjoy them that should settle it for you.

pls restrict information to Prices, you can post the comparison in the PV8 thread. This will help prune the thread.

Any speculation if LCD / Plasma rates will be coming down this summer or not before the yearend festive season?

Asking because, looking at 40" or 42" LCD / Plasma, but some models that are being considered feel still a bit over budget (e.g. 40" SONY S, V series etc.). Also, been reading a lot about Panasonic PV8 & PV80, which still are Rs. 50K +. See that some folks have actually purchased the PV8 42 for as low as 44K. But this price is no more available.

Samsung Series 5 40"
E Zone (Koramangla) - 62990
X-Cite (Koramangla) - 59000 (after a little bargain - i guess it can be pulled down further)
