Sammy 55f5500

Hello folks,
I just had demo of Sammy 55f5500 3d full hd plasma tv in samsung plaza pune.
Found to be quite good though pic was not as good as led tv.
3d was nice with good depth.
Got a quote of 76500 .
Anybody in forum using same series plasma of any size ?
I took demo in full daylight. Will pic and contrast will look better in controlled light environment.
Is 10ft distance enough for viewing 55 inch tv?

I'm sure the pic will look great once it's calibrated well. Samsung F5500 is very good plasma and I don't think you'll regret at all. Never heard of it's 55" may be, it's released this year after Panasonic stopped their plasma production.

Take some of your stuff in a pen-drive and demo those on that TV. I'm sure you'll like it in controlled light environment. 10' distance is alright for a 55" TV but it's up to you and your sitting arrangements.

You'll find that info in the Samsung 51F5500 thread. Thank God, @invisible haven't invaded this thread or he would've made you buy Sony LED :lol:

Buy the TV first and then we'll talk about calibration later

Seriously I also want/wanted to buy this particular set but I was/am so afraid of plasma's known problem like IR/burn in or so.

No doubt plasma has an amazing PQ which same priced LED/LED or even slightly more costly cannot come close to the level of PQ of plasmas.

I wish such known problem were never exist in plasmas. :sad:

Hello mates,
Today finally after lot of research and debate, I have finally booked samsung 51f5500 for 72.5k with one extra 3d glass free....
Will be delivered tom and installation day after Tom.
Will post detailed review ASAP.

Hi,
My plasma 51f5500 got installed yesterday.
Fantastic pic quality....good natural colours. Outstanding 3d performance.
SD channel quality not that good, but HD is fantabulous...
Enjoying IPL on sony pix HD on huge panel....
