samsung UA40B7000 vs LA40B650

hi all,

well i've been breaking my head from past couple of weeks.
i kind of sure that i am going to buy samsung (for good or bad).
but i'm not able to decide between LED vs LCD for the above
said models. Mostly i will be watching Sun HD with whatever
HD content they are providing and i've my own tons of
downloaded HD stuff. By reading the reviews and some threads
in this forum i realized that LED is nothing but an LCD with LED
light source. the fact is i don't care where's the light source if it
doesn't add anything to picture quality. any thoughts on this will
be much appreciated.

For one if you could wait for another 2-3 months you could get your hands on this year's Sasmung LEDs early reviews of which seem quite promising and though edge lit have significantly improved in terms of blacks ,clouding and colour accuracy. The new C7000 should come with 200Hz instead of the 100hz on the B7000. Additionally the set would also feature 3d which however seems not as promising. The set seems to have also improved on input lag which needs further confirmation though
Last years edge lits like the B7000 as mentioned earlier are bad in terms of screen uniformity and had significant bleeding leading to bluish tones in dark scenes. CCFLs like the B650 performed better in these areas. Apart from that they should be pretty much similar picture wise. A thing to note is that these issues are more prominent in dark rooms
